Amitabh to look 20 years younger

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan turned the clock back to look 20 years younger for a sequence in Anurag Kashyap directed TV drama. 

The 71-year-old termed the process of making him look younger "hilarious" and "inconvenient". "The desperate attempts to make me look 20 years younger for the sequence at the shoot, was hilarious... to say the least!! How conveniently easy it is to age rapidly, but how inconveniently long it takes to push time back," Bachchan mused on his blog. 

Kashyap, who was earlier at loggerheads with Bachchan, reconnected with the actor while working on Bombay Talkies and reunited for the show, which will mark Bachchan's fiction debut on TV.

Nitin gets 'Heart Attack' on precious gift

Exchanging gifts is quite common in film industry. Those who receive will be extremely happy and elated if they receive from the people they adore. Now young hero Nitin is experiencing the same feeling.

Infact he is getting Heart Attack on the precious gift he received from the special person. Nitin after scoring successive hits in the form of Ishq and Gunde Jaari Gallantayyinde is now currently starring under Puri Jagannath direction in the film titled Heart Attack.

Puri Jagannath's wife Lavanya gifted him a smart I Phone. Nitin though has many Iphones with him is over the moon with the present and he is looking at it in a loving and precious manner. Puri Jagannath is directing and also producing the film on his own banner.

Hansika realises her romantic dream

Hot beauty Hansika who is the dream girl for many Tamil Tambis finally realized her romantic dreams. Hansika for long dreamed of enjoying driving a bike. But she was scared that if she drives fans may not leave her alone by simply running after her. Even she didn't have time due to her busy schedule.

However finally she fulfilled her desire when she saw a bike while shooting for a film in Chennai. She practiced a lot with the help of unit members. Later she even drive in her own to her hotel room. Hansika revealing her experience posted on Twitter saying she had full enjoyment driving the bike.

Mega producer to distribute 'Kaalicharan'

Producer-distributor Allu Aravind has got the distribution rights of upcoming Telugu political revenge saga "Kaalicharan", which is coming out Nov 8 after fighting a legal battle for nearly six months.

The film, reportedly, depicts the controversial story of MLA Erra Satyam and its release was stalled after not getting the green signal from the censor board.

"The film has been ready for a long time now, but the last six months were difficult for us. It was stuck in the court for nearly six months because the censor board felt that the film might provoke controversies. I'm glad we have cleared all the hurdles and it is coming out Nov 8," the film's director Sri Praveen told.

"Allu Aravind has agreed to distribute the film which is not based on the life of any politician. It's a realistic story set in 1980s Mahaboobnagar (in Andhra Pradesh)," he added.

The original trailer of the film, which featured a character named Erra Satyam, had to be removed from YouTube as directed by the court a few months back.

The film stars Krishna Chaitanya, Chandini and Kavita Srinivasan in important roles.

Aravind's banner Geetha Arts is known for distributing several successful films such as "Ghajini", "Jalsa" and "Magadheera".

'Krrish 3' gets a grand opening

The much-awaited superhero film "Krrish 3" that released Friday started on a heroic note all over the country and is expected to perform great in coming days too, say experts.

"Krrish 3" is equipped with a spectacular range of special effects and extravagant action sequences. Actor Hrithik Roshan returns as the superhero with the film that is third installment in the franchise that began with "Koi... Mil Gaya" in 2003.

Vivek Oberoi plays Kaal, the villain, in the movie that is direcetd and produced by Rakesh Roshan. It also features Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra.

Deepak Sharma, COO of PVR Pictures, says that the film has got "great opening and it's going to be a blockbuster".

"The advance booking is as good as it was for 'Chennai Express' and opened like that all across India. Once holiday starts it will do amazing business. It can be in the league of Rs.200 crore. Going by morning show, it's looking good," Sharma told.

"Krrish 3" that was reportedly made on the budget between Rs.100-Rs.150 crore, hit approximetely 3,500 screens Friday, said a source.

Red Chillies VFX, a subdivision of Shah Rukh's motion picture production banner Red Chillies Entertainment, worked on the special effects worth Rs.26 crore for "Krrish 3".

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that the movie had an overwhelming start in the morning shows in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

"The pre-Diwali period is always considered dull by the industry. But an event film like 'Krrish 3' can change the mindset," he posted on Twitter.

Trade analyst Komal Nahta also posted similar opinion on the microblogging site.

"'Krrish 3' oven-fresh news: Nagpur opening great:Sangam Cinema 16636;Inox Poonam 27838;Inox Jaswant 16786;Cinemax 1st show 37229, 2nd show 31548. 'Krrish 3' opening in Bihar circuit crazy. Most cinemas report, all shows full in advance.Such madness rarely seen.And this is pre-Diwali!," posted Nahta.

Vishal to co-produce next with UTV

Actor Vishal Krishna Reddy has teamed up with UTV Motion Pictures to co-produce upcoming Tamil romantic action-thriller "Naan Sigappu Manithan", in which he also plays the title role. The film is slated to go on floors third week of November.

Vishal recently turned producer with Tamil rural drama "Pandiya Naadu", which is releasing Saturday.

"Naan Sigappu Manithan" will be helmed by Thiru, who had recently worked with Vishal in a film titled "Samar" in the same language.

"We are impressed with Thiru's storytelling and are confident he will deliver an outstanding film with Vishal. Though the title of the film is borrowed from a 1985 Super Hit film starring superstar Rajinikanth, it is a new subject untold in Tamil cinema and we look forward to the release of the film," said G. Dhananjayan, chief, South Business - Studios, Disney UTV, in a statement.

Vishal will co-produce the film also starring Lakshmi Menon under his home banner Vishal Film Factory (VFF).

"VFF is proud and happy to be associated with UTV to produce our second film venture. We are aiming to complete the film in one schedule and release in summer 2014," added Vishal.

S.S Thaman has been roped in to compose music for the film.

Kollywood kicking out Nazria

When natural Malayalee beauty Nazria Nazeem is mesmerising Tamil tambis with her looks in Dhanush Nayandi, many thought that she is the future star in Kollywood. It is known that tamil tambis construct temples and love them from their heart. However it is not to be.

Kajal's tight rope walk

Cute Kajal seems to be doing tight rope walk. If one expects her to be tensed in doing that, surprisingly Kajal says she is enjoying it as it helps her in maintaining the high success rate. She says she feels that she proved herself as ann actress but says the credit for that goes to her directors.

She says Southern industry helped her go to Bollywood. She felt that her debut film Lakshmi Kalyanam gave her the confidence and she was lucky to be a part of mega blockbuster Magadheera.

She says she will try to be peaceful before going to sets and will not think about her house or personal problems. She says once packup she will not think about films and shootings and will not discuss about them even in her house. She says this could be one of the reason for her success.

Karan dons new avatar for 'Koffee With Karan'

Filmmaker Karan Johar promises to don a completely new avatar in his next season of talk show "Koffee With Karan". The fourth season of the show will also have a new tagline - "Behind the Scenes. Beneath the Sheets".

"Koffee with Karan Season 4 will deliver a brand new look and people will soon see me in a new avatar. This time we have a new tagline - Behind the Scenes. Beneath the Sheets," Karan said in a statement.

The show, in its previous editions, has seen many celebrities as guests like Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. This season too promises a dynamic range of guests.

"Keeping with this, audiences will see exciting new guests as I uncover truths and delve deeper into the lives of our favourite celebrities," Karan added. 

The 41-year-old has also shot a new promotional video for the latest season where he is seen in a special broadway musical. The show will air starting Dec 1 on Star World.

Scene reverse: Producer demanding his advance back!

We know very well that where there is success there is demand and this is more so obvious in film industry.

If a movie becomes a hit the hero and the director followed by the heroine become the sought after people with producers waiting for them in queue. But in case the movie flops it will a total reverse case scenario.

Looks like Harish Shankar is in same reverse case scenario at this moment. With Ramayya failing to meet expectations of people and failing at the box office he is in a real nasty position. Assuming RV would become a super hit, producer DVV Danaiah offered an advance of one crore to Harish and booked him in advance for his next with Allu Arjun.

But with RV giving a negative result DVV is demanding Harish to return him the advance he has taken. Harish has tasted failure before but he bounced back to star director status with Gabbar Singh. Its matter of time. Hope he can sail through the rough weather!

'Indian film industry can overtake Hollywood'

Lokanayakudu Kamal Hasan shocked all saying Indian film industry is capable of collecting Rs 1000 crs. Speaking at a meeting in Bangalore, Kamal Haasan says India has more than 100crs population and it is not difficult for a super hit film to get 10% of viewership.

Analysing this he says at such rate a theater collection itself crosses Rs 1000crs. Kamal blame non transparency among distributors and says a little bit of transparency will allow Indian film industry overtake Hollywood.

This shows going by Kamal's words, distributors and producers are showing less theater collections to evade taxes to Govt. If transparency is followed, Tollywood would have crossed 100crs long time back.

The Bahubali making video is a copy and the original footage of the video was found and it is a rip off of Hollywood's 'The Amazing Videohivers.' In fact even the background music is a copy and it was ripped from Game UCHARTED 2. Well, this is at least not expected of Rajamouli. Now we need to wait to see how much of the movie will be original!

“Let’s admit it. It isn’t easy playing a superhero. It requires lot of dedication and hard work. But Hrithik made it look so easy with his commitment. He is unarguably a highly committed artist because for a shoot that starts at 9 am, he would arrive on sets at 5 am and start preparing himself,” said the cinematographer at a recent interview. So if that’s the case then we have not just one but two competitors for this title…right Aamir?

Cancer playing hide and seek with Mamta Mohandas

Singer cum actor Mamata Mohandas has sizzled in the world of glamor with her looks, singing and acting talent. She rose to fame with her roles in Yamadonga and Homam, but to name a couple.

As fate would have although she was received well and her career was about to soar high and she had had the disastrous phase of her life. The girl was diagnosed of cancer.
