Aggressive answer to the 'regressive' remark

Even after Superstar Mahesh rendering a sorry to the controversial 1 Nenokkadine poster the controversy won’t seem to die soon. As per latest Delhi model and heroine of the movie, six footer Kriti Sanon herself forayed suddenly into the scene to help (?) make critics know meaning behind the controversial poster.

The hot babe and 1 heroine opened her mouth to express her thoughts about the ‘1 Nenokkadine’ poster. Kriti shared that she’d accepted to do the role because of the depth it offered and the scope to perform. The Delhi siren said, “Though my role is lesser than the screen time Mahesh will have, I’ve a crucial connection with the progression of story. I feel destined to do this.”

When asked about the controversy surrounding the poster (raked in by Tollywood Twitter siren Samantha) the model-turned-actress reacted and disagreed with the REGRESSIVE remark. She said: That picture used for poster is part of Aw Tujo Mogh Kortha song where I tease Mahesh. You’ll understand the essence once you watch it on silver screen. It doesn’t disrespect women, but it goes with lyrics and it is quite creative.”

Thanks to the Samantha’s ‘regressive’ remark the poster has become viral and is widely acclaimed as creative but for some critics (we know who).

Now Sharwanand six pack body bug bitten

The six pack trend that took birth in 2012 has picked up pace in 2013 with many heroes aspiring to flaunt chiseled bodies. And this trend is not going to die down any time soon with Tollywood’s promising talented actor Sharwanand following the suit and gearing up to scorch the screens with a six-pack body.

He is all set to flaunt the body in his upcoming Telugu movie titled Malli Malli Idi Raani Roju. The movie will have the 29-year old actor play a sportsman role and for which the actor has already started hitting gym and working out to bare and show off his six pack torso.

With top heroes such as Prabhas, Mahesh, Jr NTR wooing their fans with the gym bodies even the second line of heroes (includes Sharwanand) are now trying to impress their fans with six pack avatars. The movie is going to hit floors in January 2014 and will be produced by KS Rama Rao under his CC banner. Onamalu fame Kranthi Madhav is going to direct the movie and Nithya Menon will be Sharwanand’s female lead in the film.

Top hero as a deaf person?

I wonder if there will be any Tollywood hero who dares to take up a deglam'd role, leave alone a role of physically challenged man.

But people, look at this Kollywood top hero and Rajnikanth's son-in-law Dhanush? Man, he is ready and excited to go into the shoes of such a character. In his first Bollywood movie itself Dhanush was so impressive with his acting skills.

He now wants to consolidate fan following in North that he has accepted to do not alone a deglamorized role but as a man with impaired hearing skills. That's right friends! Dhanush has okayed his second Bollywood project offered by Balki.

Another exciting piece of news is that Dhanush will share screen space with none other than Big B Amitabh in the movie! What more he can ask for? He will have Akshara Haasan as his female lead and she is debuting into acting with this movie where Dhanush will play a hearing impaired man who aspires of becoming an actor. He surely deserves a big applause and we know he will bring glory to movie and to the role, no?

SRK, Big B defeated by kids at games

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and superstar Shah Rukh Khan are on top of the Bollywood scene, but they aren't as competent when it comes to competing with their grandchildren and children at video games and adventure sports.

Amitabh, who is busy spending the New Year with his family, shared his experience of a Jet Ski adventure with his grandchildren. The 71-year-old has three grandchildren - Agastya, Navya Naveli and Aaradhya.

"The Panama...the sea...and after getting beat on Jet Ski by grandchildren," Amitabh posted on the microblogging site Tuesday.

Shah Rukh Khan, who enjoys playing a video game version of FIFA invited Amitabh for a friendly game as he is tired of being "beaten at all games" by his kids.

"Sir, take out time tomorrow (Wednesday)...let’s do a little FIFA...I am also tired of being beaten at all games by kids since last few days,” SRK posted on Twitter Tuesday.

SRK, who is married to Gauri Khan, has son Aryan, daughter Suhana and surrogate son AbRam.

New bride Veena gets a shocker from..

It is not even a week ago that Pakistani babe and beauty Veena Malik entered into wedlock with a Dubai-based businessman. But the sexy siren has hit headlines again this time for an otherwise reason.

The actress has gotten a shocker, that too coming from her ex flames. A case has been filed on Veena Malik with Mumbai police on various IPC sections. The case has been filed by Prashanth Singh.

By the way, during her initial days in India she dated Prashanth for some time and the two have lived in as well. Follow this space to know more about latest B town gossips and news!

This lip-lock and an no more - best onscreen kisses of 2013

Call it the coming of age of Bollywood. But in 2013, more mainstream actors did lip-locks than in any recent year.

Here's saluting the 10 best kisses of the year:

Imran Khan-Anushka Sharma in "Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola": This may have been the year of disasters for Imran Khan. But there was silver lining. It was also the year when Imran got to kiss the feisty Anushka Sharma... with wife Avantika's kind permission. And it was a pretty torrid kiss. Curiously Imran has an unwritten no-kiss clause in his contract, which he broke for a film that was a box office dud. Moral of the story - exercise your smooching options more intelligently.

Arjun Rampal-Chitrangda Singh in "Inkaar": Chitrangada's doddering marriage must have suffered another minor dent when she went dental with Arjun Rampal in Sudhir Mishra's film on sexual harassment. For a woman, who accused the guy of acting fresh, Chitrangda sure seemed to savour the smooch with Rampal. Full marks for professionalism.

Ayushmann Khurrana-Pooja Salvi in "Nautanki Saala": This kiss created the biggest stir, and we aren't talking box office. Ayushmann's wife objected violently to his nine-second smooch in this dud of a film. Ayushmann maintained it was all a part of a daze, sorry day's, work. Chal hatt, natkhat. Nautanki saala!

John Abraham-Kangana Ranaut in "Shootout At Wadala": John played a gangster. Kangana played his girl. They obviously didn't meet to discuss the weather. John and Kangana scorched up the screen with a kiss that made the censor board blush. This couple definitely knows how to kiss.

Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone "In Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani": It was a very soft kiss, done at a crucial juncture in the plot. But no passion. Just a shy brush of the lips suggesting less passion more affection. This is how friends greet each other when they stop being lovers. Awwww!

Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone in "Ram-leela": Deepika's kissed with far more passion with Ranveer. This was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's first tryst with the liplock. And what a smooch-o-thon this lead pair whipped up.

Sushant Singh Rajput-Parineeti Chopra in "Shuddh Desi Romance": These two played horny live-in lovers. Nothing 'shuddh' (pure), nothing 'desi', and no romance... just plain horniness expressed in feverish fits of lip-to-lip interaction. How Sushant's possessive girlfriend responded to this 'ardour'-worldly connect is not known.

Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan in "Ghanchakkar": With so many new smooching couples on the screen this year, serial kisser Emraan was almost left behind. He made up for 'lust' time with Vidya Balan, who wanted to prove she was not inhibited by marriage. Unimpressive, clumsy and embarrassing kissing on evidence here. Let it be.

Aamir Khan-Katrina Kaif in "Dhoom: 3": This is her annual Yash Raj (Yash Raj Films) liplock. Last year she seduced the 'no-kiss-clause' Shah Rukh Khan to break his vow for a bit of wow in "Jab Tak Hai Jaan". Now Aamir, who has kissed many a heroine in the past, manages to plant a furtive kiss on Katrina's trembling lips in "Dhoom 3". If only Salman would make an exception and kiss his former ladylove, Katrina would have the slurpy distinction of smooching all the three Khan superstars.

Randeep Hooda-Saqib Saleem in "Bombay Talkies": Mainstream Hindi cinema's first gay kiss was understandably brutal and brief. Ouch. Hats off to the two actors for flirting with the forbidden. Honth and happening.

Short-term goals better than New Year resolutions

Tamil actor Arya, who is currently busy shooting for "Purampokku" and "Meagaamann", says he prefers setting short-term goals over long-term resolutions.

"It's better to have short-term goals because they are usually achievable. I don't believe in New Year resolutions...one can easily get distracted or leave it midway," Arya told.

With two back-to-back blockbusters "Raja Rani" and "Arrambam" in 2013, he hopes for a successful 2014.

"This year, I'm doing films with directors I haven't worked with earlier. Therefore, it is going to be interesting. I will just continue working as hard as ever and I guess everything else will fall in place automatically," he added.

Arya will begin the New Year by playing football with his friends.

"I'm not much of a party guy. I like to start my year with some physical activity. I usually play football with my friends on the first day of the year. I plan to do that this year too. I think it will keep me active and I hope be like that throughout the year," he said.

Nayan ready to show her power?

Natural beauty Nayanatara who all these days sizzled in glamour roles bowling all with her skin show, is now getting ready to show her power on silver screen. According to sources she is playing the role of a powerful police officer in a Kollywood film opposite Jayam Ravi.

The film is directed by Jayam Raja. Sources say Nayan's role will be on par with the hero and will have many breathtaking action sequences. Insiders who watched Nayan say she performed those scenes in a terrific manner.

Bollywood celebs in tears at Farooque Sheikh's funeral

Bollywood celebrities were in tears as they bade farewell to veteran actor Farooque Sheikh, who was laid to rest at the Andheri graveyard here Monday evening.

The body of the 65-year-old actor was earlier in the day brought to Mumbai from Dubai, where he died after a cardiac arrest Friday.

Farooque's close friends and family members were inconsolable and shared their memories about him.

"I will never meet a person like him. His friendship matters a lot to me. I was lucky to find a co-star like him. He never did any film for money but only if he liked the script," Deepti Naval told reporters.

Sonali Bendre broke down in front of the media.

"I was shocked when I heard the news. I cannot eat biryani without him... whenever I will eat biryani, I will always remember him. He was so gentle and so humble," Bendre said.

Shabana Azmi, who did the play "Tumhari Amrita" with Farooque Sheikh for 21 years, said the curtain has fallen on the play.

"Parda gir gaya hai (curtain has fallen). This was our last play which we performed together on Dec 14 in Agra. There will be no show without Farooque."

"My last interaction with Farooque was when we did our play on Dec 14. I said it's been 21 years and we should stop this play. And he said 'Why are you saying this? In fact, we will continue this play for the next 21 years'," Azmi said.

Other Bollywood celebrities who attended the funeral included Javed Akhtar, Tabu, Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar, Shekhar Suman, Zoya Akhtar, Swara Bhaskar, Ila Arun, Rahul Bose and Sarikaa.

Farooque Sheikh is survived by his wife and two daughters.
