Pawan’s next gets release date

Yes by next we mean Gabbar Singh sequel only. The movie even before it has gone on floors surprised one and all with the news on movie release date. Guess it’s a rare piece of news we have heard in the recent times.

But then wait! The makers want to have the sequel release on the same day Gabbar Singh released. If the sources in the grapevine are to be taken any serious then the Power Star’s next flick Gabbar Singh 2 is being planned to hit screens on May 11th 2014. It was the same day in 2013 the first installment of Gabbar Singh hit theaters.

The sequel will show Pawan to reprise Gabbar Singh urf Venkata Ratnam Naidu the tough cop yet again but who has thrown to Chambal Valley in the name of promotional transfer.

Chambal is breeding ground for all sorts of crimes including dacoity, Maoism to name some and Venkata Ratnam Naidu is gearing up to wage a war against all the anti-social elements. The movie shall start rolling during December.

Will 2013 be the year for ‘HIM?’

Toofan had had a miserable stint at the box office and Ram Charan’s hopes to have a great debut dashed after its poor debacle but the actor in Ram Charan is waiting eternally to arrive to screens as ‘Yevadu.’

Yevadu directed by Vamsi Paidipally is billed as a action entertainer and Shruti Hassan played the female lead in the movie. Allu Arjun and Kajal played cameos in the movie.

Audio launch of Yevadu happened long back that people almost forgot anything about the songs (considering the tunes were below average and it had bad reviews only) but the film seems to be getting perpetually delayed because of uncertain political agitations and also poor performance by Thoofan.

Producer Dil Raju announced it will be released on December 4th. But fans are doubting if Yevadu will hit screens in 2013?

'Rey' promises globetrotting experience

Filmmaker Y.V.S. Chowdhary is confident that his much delayed Telugu romantic-drama "Rey", which is slated to release during Sankranti next year, will give audiences a worldwide travel experience.

"Rey" featuring debutant Sai Dharam Tej from actor Chiranjeevi's clan has been on the floors for nearly a year.

"While the first half of the film has been shot in the West Indies, rest was predominantly shot in the US, and very little was shot in India. Therefore, I believe audiences will get to see some exotic locations on the screen. It will be a globetrotting experience," Chowdhary told.

"Rey", also produced by Chowdhary, was delayed due to post-production work.

"It was not because of some financial crunch, the film's release has been delayed. We were left with some unfinished patch work on the post-production front and we had to attend to it. There will be no further delay in the release of the film," he added.

Another highlight, according to Chowdhary, is Shraddha Das's role in the movie.

"Shraddha plays a pop star with a rebellious attitude. She has done extraordinary job. I made her watch several international music videos to prepare her for the role. Her role will definitely win her a lot of appreciation from the audience," he added.

Also featuring Shubra Aiyappa, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, Jayaprakash Reddy and MS Narayana in important roles, the film's music is by Chakri.

Is Imran Khan superstitious?

Actor Imran Khan, who has been having a rough patch off late, is superstitious about working with experienced directors.

Imran, whose upcoming movie Gori Tere Pyaar Mein with Kareena Kapoor Khan is generating a fair amount of buzz, thinks that he can only give hit movies with first time directors.

“The funny thing in my life is that my only success is with the first time director. Anytime I have gone away from the first time directors, things have not worked for me,” he said at a recent interview. “Logically, if I think about Kidnap, the director (Sanjay Gadhvi) had given a blockbuster like Dhoom, but it didn’t work for me. My understanding is that I should work with guys of my age,” added the honey-eyed hunk.

Well if Imran’s logic is to be gone by then we hope that Gori Tere Pyaar Mein will surely be a superhit at the box office!

Amrita Rao's sister to debut on small screen

Bollywood actress Amrita Rao's younger sister Preetika has been finalised to play the main lead in fiction show "Beintehaa" on Colors.

A passionate love story, "Beintehaa" will be produced by Farhan Salruddin's Fortune Productions and it marks Preetika's TV debut.

Before becoming an actress, Preetika was a film journalist. She made her debut in Tamil cinema in December 2010 with the romantic film "Chikku Bukku".

Before Preetika, another Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta's sister Ishita entered showbiz through television show "Ek Ghar Banaunga".

Troubles and more troubles for Seeta

Anjali has moved a petition in the Chennai High Court against aunt Bharati Devi and her husband Haribabu.

The SVSC actress alleged that the duo tortured her mentally and pleaded the court to give her security from them and requested that an action is initiated against the two.

The court directed police to investigate on the matter and initiate action against the people in question if they are found to be guilty. Anjali earlier skipped many hearings at the court saying she was busy.

And also this ain’t the first time she alleged about her aunt or uncle and she even alleged about producer Kalanjiyam who she said harassed her and looted away her money and assets. Her aunt filed petition at a family court seeking maintenance from the actress @ Rs 50,000 per month. She alleged that she spent 70 lakhs on the actress and that the actress has to look after her maintenance!

Looks like Seeta's troubles are not going to end anytime soon!

'Ram-leela' not related to Lord Ram or Krishna

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has clarified that his forthcoming film "Ram-leela" is inspired by and based on William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and that it has nothing to do with either Indian folklore "Ramleela" or Lord Krishna's 'Rasleela'.

Bhansali, who has produced and directed the film, Wednesday sought to set the record straight about the film's content in the wake of a Delhi court staying its scheduled Nov 15 release on a plea that the movie hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus as it contains sex, violence and vulgarity.

"It appears that some misinformation is being carried out regarding the said film ('Ram-leela') which we would like to clarify and state that the said film is inspired and based on William Shakespeare's work 'Romeo and Juliet’.

"The said film is neither related to 'Ramleela' folklore/traditional performance associated with Lord Ram nor related to 'Rasleela' associated with Lord Krishna. Ram, the character in the said film does not depict or resemble Lord Rama in any manner," read a statement issued on behalf of Bhansali.

The movie, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, is scheduled to release Friday, but a Delhi court Tuesday stayed its release.

The order followed a suit filed by six petitioners who believe the movie hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus as it contains sex, violence and vulgarity.

The plea also said the word "Ram-leela" is associated with Lord Rama and people will also watch the movie with an expectation that it would be related to his life, but the film will hurt their sentiments.

The petitioners demanded that the film's title be changed.

According to Bhansali, the film "neither intends nor attempts to insult, wound or outrage the religion, religious feelings or religious beliefs of any class of citizens of India".

"We trust that this allays, clarifies and sets at rest all apprehensions, doubts and misgivings regarding the said film," the statement further read.

Maruti’s innovative movie title

Maruthi is the latest young sensation among the directors circles, yet one cannot get but amused at the creative genius that he is. He reads pulse of the youth like a master craftsman which results in his movies becoming money spinners. The director has been working on a script to impress Pawan Kalyan and guess the title he has offered for that?

Well you can’t but tell us how does this "Konidela LLB" sound? To me it really appears to have taken inspiration from Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sankar Dada MBBS.’

Maruthi is currently busy doing "Kotha Janta" with Allu Sirish and Regina.

His movies “Ee Rojullo” and “Bus Stop” have shot the director to instant fame as a reliable and minimum guarantee director.

Pawan has not given his acceptance for Maruthi’s project and the Power Star is also getting ready for Gabbar Singh 2 shooting.

That apart, ‘Konidela LLB’ doesn’t give much clue into what could be the story, whether Pawan will do a lawyer in the movie or not is a question that will need answer. But we need to wait some more for that.

Pawan's another noble act out

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is proving to be a star not only on screen but also off screen. He is taking all measures so that his gestures don't gain media attention. However some come out through some source or the other.

Though Pawan hate praises, but his mania is reaching such levels that praising him is becoming inevitable. When everyone craves for attention after donating 100 Rs, Pawan is not bothered after he is donating lakhs and lakhs of money. Recently he helped a small girl from Kukatpally who was suffering from kidney problem. He gave the girl's parents 2 Lakhs and motivated the girl's parents.
