No cricket without Sachin for Madhuri Dixit

Actress Madhuri Dixit says it is hard to imagine the world of cricket without master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who has retired from international cricket after a 24-year long career.

She hopes the legend passes on his art to other aspirants.

"It is very hard to imagine cricket without Sachin. I would just say all the best to him. I would wish that he shares his this art with other people, teaches them to play the game (of cricket)," Madhuri told reporters here Friday at the launch of a jewellery store by P.N. Gadgil.

"He is an inspiration for so many people. It is very painful for all his fans that this is his last cricket match," she added.

Age is just a number

Model-actress Urvashi Rautela, 19, has shot romantic scenes with 57-year-old Sunny Deol for "Singh Saab The Great", but so what? Age is merely a number, says the debutante.

She says she was "not at all" sceptical before signing the film.

"Age doesn't matter to me. What's there in the age? It's just a number! When we can see Rajinikanth romancing Aishwarya Rai madam...it's just like that. I know it's a big age gap, but we are all very professional and as long as we look great together, nothing matters," Urvashi told.

She says her "chemistry" with Sunny looks "great on screen".

Urvashi bagged the Miss Universe India title in 2012, but she was later dethroned because she didn't meet the age requirement.

A dancer trained in five different forms, she says she would love to do a film where she is able to harness her talent to the hilt.

"I have learned five different dance forms including Bharatnatyam, kathak, hip-hop, jazz, belly dancing. That's the reason I would like to do a film on dance," she said.

Directed by Anil Sharma, "Singh Saab The Great", releases Nov 22.

Praneetha's prominence in Joru

When pretty beauty Praneetha was roped in by Young Tiger NTR's filmmakers for Joru to cast her as second heroine, many felt that her role will be not that prominent. To the top of it many commented that her performance in Attarintiki Daaredi starring Pawan Kalyan forced filmmakers to cast her in the film.

However filmmakers refuting those allegations said Praneetha was signed for the project even before the release of Attarintiki Daaredi. They said Praneetha's role is not inconsequential but is very prominent in the film on par with Samantha, the lead heroine. Film is directed by Santosh Srinivas of Kandireega fame.

Manoj scripts dad's fights

Manchu Manoj is multi talented. He showed what a breathtaking stunt choreographer he is in his earlier films. Now he is showcasing his skills by directing none other than his dad collection king Mohan Babu's fights in the Manchu family entertainer Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda.

Currently the film directed by Srivaas is progressing in RFC. Film stars young heroes Varun Sandesh and Taneesh alongside Mohan Babu, Manoj and Vishnu with Hansika, Praneetha and Raveena Tandon filling the glamour content. Film is produced by Vishnu and Manoj on their own banner 24 Frames Film Factory.

'Attarintiki Daaredi' completes 50 days

Pawan Kalyan-starrer Telugu action-drama "Attarintiki Daaredi" Friday completed a 50-day run at the box office. Its producer B.V.S.N Prasad has thanked audiences for making the film a huge hit.

"Attarintiki Daaredi", which was made on a budget of Rs.60 crore, has reportedly minted over Rs.100 crore worldwide. It is still running to packed houses.

"I'm extremely happy that our film has turned out to be a blockbuster, especially after facing piracy issue even before its theatrical release. The piracy incident had shaken us from the inside but we believed in fans of Pawan Kalyan, and they didn't let us down," Prasad told.

"Audiences deserve all the credit for the film's success. They were just a click away from downloading the leaked copy of the film, but they didn't and instead watched it in theatres and made it a huge success," he added.

The film, which was directed by Trivikram Srinivas, has recorded the highest collection for a Telugu film.

"Attarintiki Daaredi" also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Praneetha, Boman Irani and Nadiya in important roles.

Where is Power Star?

No, he is not in script sitting with anyone. He is not in shooting either. So where is the Power Star, folks?

Attarintiki Daredi movie has completed 50 days in 200 centers and now the 100 crore mark looks a bit tough to achieve. But the star is celebrating something else and not his movie’s 50 days count. When did Pawan follow such things? Like a passionate artist he works and leaves the result to fate whether it is a flop or a super hit it barely affects him and I think that sets him apart from the rest of the heroes.

So the star has been enjoying needed break with his family; his two kids Akira and Aadhya. Sources close to the star are saying that the star is on a family tour and the family flew to an abroad destination for a holiday.

This sounds unbelievable because there were talks that he parted ways with his wife Renu Desai and that he left his home in Jubilee Hills to Renu Desai as well. But it is also learnt that the two children have been missing their dad so much so that the two (Pawan and Renu ) have come together and went on a tour to make kids happy!

Fans would be praying to really hear the happy ending to marital feuds, possible?

Kshana Kshanam sequel on cards or what?

Manchu Vishnu has for long been expressing his craze to act under RGV (you read that right, maverick director Ram Gopal Varma) and post 'Doosukeltha' success he is planning to make an out and out comedy entertainer like Kshana Kshanam and under the direction of Ram Gopal Varma.

It’s surprising to see that despite having few hits and many flops under his belt RGV still has some actors believe in his potential or capability.

Earlier RGV rejected to do a movie with Vishnu but we don’t know if he continues with the same stand (after so many flops, which actor can come to him with the faith that he’d deliver a hit?).

Vishnu believes RGV can do it and it may not be a Kshana Kshanam sequel but much along those lines. And let it be a sequel too; don’t we love to see another sequel of the super hit movie? Wish Vishnu’s craze for Varma can make a magic and that the two could pull off a hit ending the director’s flop streak too!

Nara Rohit turning Rowdy Fellow?

Young and upcoming hero Nara Rohit who earned a name for himself with films like Baanam and Solo lost some sheen after Okkadine. He is currently planning his next film carefully. He is coming as Pratinidhi, a powerful political entertainer which is gearing up for release soon.

According to the latest he is turning Rowdy Fellow under Krishna Chaitanya's direction. Buzz is Krishna Chaitanya, the popular lyricist for films like Yevadu, Baadshah, Ishq, Brindavanam is making his debut as director. The film already started shooting in Hyderabad. Hot beauties Visakha Singh and Nandini Rai will be romancing Rohit. Film is produced by Swami Ra Ra producer Chakri Chigurupati.

Is this Bahubali's storyline?

Eversince piracy affected Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Attarintiki Daaredi, rumours are floating around much anticipated flicks Mahesh Babu's One Nenokkadine, Rajamouli's Bahubali. While Nenokkadine's stills are leaked, now Bahubali's story is leaked according to sources.

Sobhu Yarlagadda is producing the film on Arka media banner. The film's story has become the hot topic of discussion. According to it Prabhas and Rana are brothers. Both love Anushka and go to any extent in possessing her. However Rana turn vicious villain while Prabhas tries to be honest. Both turn sworn enemies and even wage war for Anushka. To know the truth whether this is the same story Rajamouli is filming, one has to wait till another year.

Children's film fest will help 'Minugurulu' release

Upcoming Telugu drama "Minugurulu" will be screened at the ongoing International Children's Film Festival of India (ICFFI) here. Its director Ayodhya Kumar feels this opportunity will help the film create a buzz before its theatrical release.

A film featuring 40 visually impaired children, "Minugurulu" is the story of how these children expose the wrongdoings of the warden of an orphanage.

Kumar has also produced the film which features Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Ashish Vidyarthi and Raghuvir Yadav in important roles.

The film has been jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment.

I may never get married in my life

Ok, this is no pledge by the gorgeous Sweety. But she believes there will be no one who can come forward after knowing what she looks for in her Mr Perfect soul mate. The super star heroine who's inching close to her 30 has a big list of wishes about the man in her life.

Every woman (or man as the case maybe) will have set of criteria about her respective soul mate, and we believe it is but quite natural to wish for some qualities too. But our Bommali seems to have a Anaconda length of wish list about the qualities she wants to see in the man of her life. She quipped that if people comes to know about them she may never get married in her life.

And when she was asked if she were ready for marriage, she said she is but also said she wanted her Mr Right. She, however, hinted it could be love marriage too. It seems after the two big-ticket movies that is currently part of, her family has decided to get her married off. And there will be a Anaconda sized queue of men willing to marry her if says ok, no people?

Husky singer wants to make money out of her wedding?

It may sound cheap, but money makes man a monkey really. Husky singer and dusky beauty Geeta Madhuri has a crazy following among people, especially youth.

There is a so much curiosity among a section of people to know about this singer and news pieces about her love story have given huge traffic to web portals and TRP ratings to TV channels.

And the best part is that the singer herself knows very well about the crazy following she has got. Her engagement function has created quite frenzy and channels that have telecast this program supposed to have got good TRPs. Learning this the singer believes now that she could cash in on her wedding (which is supposed to be held during February, 2014) literally!

Considering the image she has it seems there is a queue from channels seeking rights to live telecast her wedding and Geeta is clear about who will telecast their wedding, the channel that bids the highest money! Hmm.... it’s a strange world we are living in, right!

She want to play Rekha's role from 'Khoon Bhari Maang'

Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who has made a mark for herself in Bollywood with movies like "Dabangg" and "Rowdy Rathore", says she wants to play legendary actress Rekha's role from her 1988-released film "Khoon Bhari Maang".

Sonakshi also says that it would be amazing to remake the film now.

"Rekha's character in 'Khoon Bhari Maang' is one role which I would like to play. It would be amazing to remake it now. It's like a girl taking revenge and it's not negative though," Sonakshi told.

Directed by Rakesh Roshan, "Khoon Bhari Maang" was the story of a woman who takes revenge on her husband for trying to kill her. The film also featured Kabir Bedi, and Sonakshi's father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha.

The actress says she is ready to experiment with her roles if she believes in it.

"If a role comes to me and if I believe that I would be comfortable portraying, I would love to do it. My father started off with a negative role and then he became a hero so why not. I would like to do something like that but I should like the script," she said.

Highest in Anushka's career

Anushka starrer Varna under the award winning director Selvaraghavan is gearing up for its release while still awaiting for its censor clearance and the latest is that the movie was given a clean U certificate by the censor.

The bilingual movie is readying to hit the theaters on November 22nd and the movie is but a promise of visua extravaganza, going by its trailer and the responses it has garnered.

With censor clearing the movie without any cuts the production team are elated and hoping that the movie will do its best.

PVP Cinemas had produced the venture and they have booked about 1200 screens for the movie which is so far the highest in the career of Anushka or even Arya. Disney UTV has bid and won the dubbing rights for the movie. The background score (composed by Harris Jeyaraj) in the trailer was too psychedelic, and we need to wait and see how this visual grandeur will score at the box office!

Vijaya Bhaskar hopes to score hat-trick with Venkatesh

Director K. Vijaya Bhaskar, who delivered Telugu blockbusters such as "Nuvvu Naku Nachav" and "Malliswari" with actor Daggubati Venkatesh, hopes to score a hat-trick with "Masala" which is coming out Thursday.

"Masala" is the Telugu remake of Hindi comedy "Bol Bachchan".

"My films are known for providing wholesome entertainment and even though 'Masala' is a remake, I have made it as entertaining as possible. It's my third film with Venkatesh and our combination has always resulted in a hit. I hope it continues with this film too," Bhaskar told.

"Comedy has been an integral part of all my films. I believe audiences deserve to be entertained for the money they shell out. Therefore, I give equal importance to comedy in my films," he added.

Bhaskar feels there's nothing wrong in working on remakes.

"It's not like I'm against remakes. The original was received well in Hindi, and the makers in Telugu approached me with the opportunity and I grabbed it. It has come out very well and I'm hoping audiences receive it well," he said.

Two of his films namely "Classmates" and "Bhale Dongalu" were remakes.

"Masala", co-produced by Daggubati Suresh Babu and Sravanti Ravi Kishore, also features Anjali, Ram Pothineni and Shazahn Padamsee in important roles. It is a very important film for Venkatesh and Ram as they are desperately seeking a hit after flops such as "Shadow" and "Ongole Githa", respectively.

Two min away ; Sooraj was at a hotel when Jiah died!

Actor Aditya Pancholi, harried by the sudden allegations against his son in the Jiah Khan case, says Sooraj was at a five star hotel when the actress died. Interestingly, the hotel is just two minutes away from Jiah Khan house.

"We've footage of Sooraj entering the hotel, spending time in there with his friend and leaving the hotel. Therefore the question of Sooraj's guilt just doesn't arise," said Aditya reacting to Jiah's mother Rabiya Khan's allegation that her daughter was murdered by someone very "close" to her.

According to new reports, Kalina Forensic Laboratory's latest report revealed that there was human flesh and blood lodged underneath the late actress' fingernails.

"We know what Jiah's mother is implying and why she is doing what she is doing. Sooraj is not the scared child that he was when Jiah's suicide toppled his world over," he said.

"Today, after spending 21 days in one of the toughest jails in the country and having been put under the radar for no fault of his Sooraj has grown up. It is being implied that I have pulled strings to get my son out of jail on bail. Tell me if I was so powerful why would I have allowed my son to languish in Arthur Road jail for 21 days?"

Sooraj in the meanwhile, continues to prepare for his debut in the remake of Subhash Ghai's "Hero".

"My boy is much stronger now. I am glad he learnt the bitter lessons so early in his life. This whole experience has toughened him," said Aditya.
