Hrithik Roshan starrer “Krrish 3” has struck the right chord with the audience and is reaping rich dividends at the box office - it did a business of Rs.72.7 crore within the first three days of its release. The superhero sci-fi is still counting.

The figure includes collections from the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions as well.

"Krrish 3" is director-producer Rakesh Roshan's third instalment of the franchise that hit the road to glory in 2003 with “Koi...Mil Gaya”.

“Krrish 3” came out Friday and collected Rs.25.20 crore on the first day, followed by Rs.23.20 crore on the second day with impressive Diwali day collections at Rs.24.30 crore, said a statement.

Satya2: Ramu impressed with Sarvanand’s hardcore action

Ace director Ramgopal Verma was quite appreciative of Sarvanand’s action in his new venture ‘Satya 2’, which is slated for November 8 release.

Speaking to a private news channel, Verma said that Sarvanand hitherto had a ‘soft’ image and he will come out as a totally different actor in his new crime thriller.

While ‘Satya’ had Mumbai gang wars as its background, ‘Satya2’ is all about Hyderabad and its denizens. While Verma is an efficient hand in making films on organised crime, Satya2 goes further and deals with criminal activities organized in pucca corporate style techniques and finesse.

Verma tried to give Hyderabad a melting pot of desires and determination and people from all parts of Andhra Pradesh find a magnet-like attraction in the city.

Unlike all Verma films, Satya2 has a romantic side as well.

Secondly, Verma made it clear that he is not going to make films, in fact, he will not be able to make films, with top heroes like Pawan Kalyan. He told the channel: “I like our top heroes the most. My inability to make films with them arises from the fact that their films need to have a fight or a song at a given place.. and I don’t like such things.”

Sings shyfully

Though RGV is known for his frank and bold speak, he feels shy if he is asked to sing. This is shocking many as Ramu never expressed his shyness or said he is ashamed of even when he took some atrocious and flop films.
RGV sang a song in the film saying it is his final farewell on mafia films. Even earlier Ramu sang a song in Raktha Charitra. But this time he came with a romantic duet.

When asked to sing the song in a TV channel, Ramu said he was feeling shy.He said he will do only for films and not in front of people.

Vishnu excited about 'Doosukeltha Kerala' release

The dubbed Malayalam version of Vishnu Manchu's Telugu film "Doosukeltha", which opened last week in Andhra Pradesh, will release in Kerala Friday as "Sarva Kala Vallavan".

This is Manchu's second film to be released in the state after his debut Malayalam movie "Endinum Ready" last year and he is looking forward to the screening.

"I am super excited to be back in Kerala after the audience's humble thumbs up to my earlier film 'Endinum Ready'," said the actor and hoped the film helps him impress the movie goers in the state.

Directed by Veeru Potla, "Doosukeltha" revolves around a do gooder who goes out of his way to help anyone. Lavanya Tripathi plays the female lead in the out and out action comedy, which came out Oct 17. Said to be made on an approximate budget of Rs.25-Rs30 crore, the film reportedly collected Rs.14.83 crore on the domestic box office in the first week.

Produced under Manchu Mohan Babu's banner 24 Frames Factory, it is being presented by Vishnu's daughters - Ariaana and Viviana.

Who is overseas 'King'?

Now a days Tollywood is showing its power in overseas taking on screen Bollywood and Hollywood. Ever since it started doing so, analysts tried to find out the King of overseas.

Reports indicate that Attarintiki Daaredi collected Rs 20 crs and fans say that it shows Pawan Kalyan's power. Earlier Mahesh Babu's Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu ruled overseas.

Now fans say Pawan is great since he broke all records while Mahesh fans say he is great since it was he who shook overseas with Pokiri.

However revelations indicate that rather than star power overseas market goes by directors. NRIs say Trivikram Srinivas, Srinu Vytla, Sekhar Kammula, Krish, Deva Katta are hot cakes there.

Trivikram's Khaleja might have flopped in India but it minted money in overseas.Srinu Vytla's Dhee, Ready, Dookudu, Badshah did well in overseas. Puri Jagannath's craze dipped in overseas after Pokiri. Many suffered losses with his Cameraman Gangato Rambabu. Going by fans talk three film riding on  Pawan's Gabbar Singh success should have been run away hit. Sekhar Kammula overseas collections amazes even star heroes. Unlike in India, overseas follows different trend in making a films a blockbuster.

Who is that girl, Darling Prabhas?

We know Prabhas has given two years dates to sensational director SS Rajamouli for his magnum opus project Bahubali. The high-budget has been on floors for close to six months now and has taken a year pre-production time before it went on floors. And Jakkanna recently confirmed that he may be requiring more time than just two years to complete the project the way he wanted.

And even in the recently released teaser too the release of the movie was mentioned as 2015. And we have learnt that the movie could be split to two parts as the length is coming more than planned. With this Prabhas' family has been thinking they get the young Rebel Star married.

Although family were hunting for a suitable girl, since the movie went on floors they postponed the marriage project. But its learnt that even the director gave nod to Prabhas marriage. Coming to the news it seems the family has almost okay-ed a girl who is related to Krishnam Raju and its only that the Darling has to okay the girl and everything else seem to be okay for both families!

Will 2014 place Mahesh as Number 1?

We guess no one is accepting the movies at the pace Mahesh is doing in the recent times, not even NTR who has a record of finishing of filming faster than all heroes. And at that tempo Mahesh might well be treating us with bumper crop of releases in 2014.

First for the Pongal we have Sukumar’s directorial 1 Nenokkadine release slated and then Mahesh who will soon join on board the Srinu Vaitla’s 'Aagadu' is said to complete the shooting for it in one schedule of 120 days which is expected for summer 2014 release.

And then Mahesh also signed for Aswini Dutt's movie which is believed to go on sets during first quarter of 2014 and is expected to release for Dasara or Diwali and then Mahesh is also doing a cameo as 'Gona Gannareddy' in Gunasekhar's magnum opus historical entertainer 'Rudhramadevi' which is said to release in 2014 itself. So with about 4 movies it’s a feast no doubt for fans and a great opportunity for Mahesh to claim number 1 spot too. What say, people?

If you see the recent trend of the Tollywood movies, all those that are high on entertainment quotient seem to be scoring well at the box office and being received well by movie lovers.

The success of Dookudu, Baadshah,  Atharintiki Daaredi, Doosukeltha and even Chennai Express seem to be the proof of the same and the trend will continue say observers.

His previous two - Endukante Premanta and Ongolu Gitta turned out to be BO flops and is in dire need of a good hit now and which is why Ram is building high hopes on his Masala and the main ingredient in it is comedy and chief chef being Venkatesh.

Nazria enacting Khushi scene?

Malayaee beauty Nazria Nazeem stunned all when she slapped a case on Dhanush's Nayandi filmmakers alleging the usage of her body double to shoot obscene scenes. Later she said she doesn't want to flaunt her waist and belly.

This prompted natural beauty Nayanatara criticise her saying Nazria should know acting in films itself is filled with glamour and she shouldn't over react. Nazria also responded strongly asking Nayan to mind her own business.

Now Kannada star Meghana Raj came in support of Nazria saying filmmakers shouldn't force Nazria and it is upto her whether to flaunt her beauty or not but as such she don't have any objection to do so. The whole episode reminds one of Bhoomika, Pawan's Khushi scene where Bhoomika creates a scene with Pawan after he accidentally watches her waist.

I am not a liar

Actress Swetha Menon continued to be in a state of shock over the incidents that happened Friday at Kollam and said, "I am not a liar".

"I am in a state of shock over the incidents that happened yesterday (Friday) and I am deeply hurt in the manner in which the Kollam district collector has refuted I spoke to him about what happened," said Menon.

"I want justice because I have been picturised as a liar and I can't take this," added Menon who broke down while speaking to reporters in her home, here.

"I will write to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on what has happened," said Menon.

Chandy earlier in the day had told reporters he had not received any complaint and if she gives one, it would be taken up.

Menon Saturday morning said let "visuals speak" after TV channels showed a lawmaker trying to cosy up to her during a boat race. The parliamentarian denied the charge.

Menon stopped short of naming the politician.

"Let the visuals speak ... I could have reacted instantly but since I am not interested in creating news, I did not," said Menon while answering a reporter's question whether the politician was Kollam Lok Sabha member and Congress leader Peethamabara Kurup.

Kurup told reporters he has been in public life for several decades. "I am not such a character and very soon I will come out with all the pictures," said Kurup, a first time Lok Sabha member.

The alleged incident took place Friday evening while Menon was one of the guests of honour at a boat race in Kollam.

TV visuals show Kurup on more than one occasion getting close to the actress.

Women activists cutting across political affiliations condemned the incident and demanded action against the lawmaker.

Former CPI-M legislator and Democratic Mahila Association state secretary K.K. Shylaja said, "The visuals speak the truth and authorities should start initiating action against him."

CPI-M central committee member P.K.Sreemathi described it as a blot on Kerala and "the need of the hour is state Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan should immediately direct police for action to be taken".

Lissy Jose, state womens' commission member, said her personal opinion is that a case should be registered against the person who did this.

However, Congress leader Bindu Krishna said Kurup is known to be a very caring person and "what I am told is that there are more pictures and once that also comes out, it would be clear what has happened".

"A detailed probe will reveal everything and at the same time we are not discounting Menon's statements," said Krishna.

Actors' body AMMA is expected to discuss this issue shortly and her future course of action would depend on the outcome of the meeting. "We will take this issue up because our members just cannot be made vulnerable to these incidents because all of us do go for public functions," said AMMA president and veteran comedian Innocent.

Leader of Opposition V.S.Achuthanandan said what happened to Menon is most shameful.

"We have the recent law that has been passed in the parliament and it states that the victim's response is only needed for action to be taken. She is reported to have told the Kollam district collector after the incident happened and so far no action has be taken. All are waiting to see what the government under Chandy is going to do," Achuthanandan told reporters at a hurriedly called press conference here Saturday.

Kollam district collector B. Mohan said he had not received any complaint.
