Sweety beauty Anushka though started as a glamour doll, showed her power in lady oriented films like Arundhati, Panchami etc. Now she is getting ready to show her power once again as Rudramadevi under the direction of Gunasekhar. 

The film which is the first historical film in 3D in India is progressing at brisk pace. According to the latest the filmmakers are planning to release the teaser on Nov 7th to celebrate Anushka's birthday.

In the meantime one still of Anushka in Rudramadevi's avtar is mesmerising all on internet. This proved Gunasekhar's search for suitable actress and then finalising Anushka is right. Anushka's intent in her eyes as Rudramadevi in royal outfit increased the expectations on the film.

Why Aamir Khan took a break from shooting P.K.?

Dhoom 3 actor Aamir Khan is known for his thorough professionalism but then what’s the reason behind him taking a break from shooting of his film P.K.?  Aamir who is currently busy promoting his much-awaited action thriller Dhoom:3 is also busy with  one more film and that is Aditya Chopra’s another project ‘Kill Dil’ which stars Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar.

Buzz is that Aamir took a break from the shooting of P.K. so that he could be present at the trailer launch of ‘Kill Dil’ which will happen later this month. Our birdie says, “Aamir requested Hirani to wrap the schedule of his film early so that he could be in Mumbai in time for the trailer launch.”

Well now even this is professionalism right guys! 

'Tammudu' continues 'Annayya''s trend!

Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas’ film ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ has created some records and is the biggest grosser in the career of Power Star. But that’s not end of this family entertainer. The makers planned a unique way of making its 73 crores to multiply.

To tempt a person who’s seen the movie already for a second visit to theater the makers have planned to add few scenes which were cut off to keep the run time to a specified length. It is learnt that there are about five sequences that the makers have zeroed in on forcing into the movie to woo and bring in repeat audience.

What to expect? As of now it’s still unclear about the kind of scenes that will be added but we hear from sources that two before intermission and three post interval shall be added. The edited footage can be watched and that’s’ a big deal for fans, what more do we want?

Guess this is becoming a new trend in the industry to catch up with the collections if it’s a hit and to try and impress if the failed to impress in the first release. This was done many times by Chiru and looks like Tammudu is following Annayya’s trend. We need to wait and watch if this can help the movie hit the magic figure of 100 crores.

I want an identity for myself and it will be possible only with special songs...” Hmm so, that’d be a special song for Gajala re-entry, people! Ram-Leela goes international!

Buzz has it that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s forthcoming release Ram-Leela which looks colourful and spicy will be premiered at the 13th edition of Marrakech International Film Festival.

We hear that the special screening will be attended by the director as well as the leading lady of the film Deepika. Touted as an adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet, SLB’s magnum opus is a love story based in the violent times in Gujarat.

The movie is all set to release on November 15 and we can’t wait to see the spicy Deepika and macho Ranveer to unfold the passionate love saga!

Gabbar Singh 2 doesn't have Trivikram?

Ok we were too excited when we heard Trivikram would be part of Pawan’s Gabbar Singh sequel as a dialogue writer because we are too sure of the magic he can create with his words. But as it turns out rumors are rumors this one too was one such and Trivikram wont be part of the Gabbar Singh 2 project.

The unit has confirmed this sometime back. Sources say Sampath Nandi will be wielding the megaphone for the big-ticket movie and he will be doing the dialogue writing too. Initially there were also rumors that dialogues would be penned (or were being penned) by Pawan but all those now seem to be good joke for all of us to laugh off.

According to GS 2 unit sources the shooting for the movie shall commence in November month. Whats exciting is that with Pawan craze picking up the makers plan to wrap filming it in one schedule and release it for the next summer.

Most certainly it will be Pranitha as one of the female leads although she hasn’t signed the deal papers yet. Sharat Marar is to produce the Gabbar Singh 2 under North Star Entertainments banner.

RGV gets threat, security beefed up

Mumbai: Security arrangements at the office and residence of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma have been beefed up after he received a threat Thursday.

Varma had got threats earlier also due to the content of his forthcoming crime saga "Satya 2", which the promos showed. 

“He is at the additional commissioner's office in Bandra presently. The security arrangements have been tightened at his house as well as office,” a spokesperson of Varma, told.

Varma took to microblogging site Twitter to explain his position.

“On basis of an intercepted conversation, Mumbai police gave me security..for various reasons, I can't divulge the contents of the threat,” Varma posted on Twitter Thursday.

However, Varma did not confirm whether the threat had anything to do with the film.

"For some important reasons, I cannot comment on whether or not this threat to me is related to the content of 'Satya 2'," he said.

"Satya 2" release date has been shifted from Oct 25 to Nov 8.

Don't regret doing 'Besharam'

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, whose last film "Besharam" was trashed by the critics and rejected by the audience, says he doesn't regret doing romantic-comedy.

When asked if he regreta doing the film, the 31-year-old said: "Not at all. I don't regret doing 'Besharam'."

The Kapoor scion started his career with dud "Saawariya" and in six years he has done about a dozen films. Of these "Bachna Ae Haseeno", "Wake Up Sid", "Raajneeti", "Rockstar", "Barfi" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" did well at the box office and the rest bit the dust.

Abhinav Kashyap directed "Besharam", which fell flat at the box office, also featured Ranbir's parents - Neetu and Rishi Kapoor - and newcomer Pallavi Sharda.

"Even my first film was a flop. I don't regret anything in my life. I had an opportunity to work with my parents in the film," he said.

What went wrong with the film?

"I don't have any formula for success. I work with my conviction in my films," Ranbir told reporters at an event here.

Nagarjuna is no 'Trend' setter

Many consider King Nagarjuna as a trend setter in Tollywood. This because his film Shiva with Ram Gopal Varma, set a new trend in film taking. However Nag says he is not a 'Trend' setter and he never said that.

In the run up for his upcoming entertainer Bhai release, Nag came with his views. He was responding to the queries on dialogue 'evariki vaallu trend set chesamanna bhramalo unnaru.. asalu trend set chesinde nuvvu kadanna'. Many felt that he was targeting other heroes with the dialogue.

Nag says at first director Veerabhadram wanted him to say those lines, but when he refused to do it, he said it through someone else. Bhai starring Nag,Richa Gangopadhyaya is all set for release on 25th Oct.

Though Pawan didnot reveal the script, Trivikram speaking to media unlocked the secret. Trivikram said he did not grudge Pawan for sleeping over the story which he narrated to himm since the story already was made as film.

Mallika in tears after contestant abused on TV show

Actress Mallika Sherawat who has hit headlines with the sensational reality show 'The Bachelorette India? Mere Khaylaon Ki Mallika' had to pause shooting for three days. The reason for stalling shooting – a contestant abused Mallika.

The dating reality show which was intended or supposed to be a show ending in friendly suitor for Mallika has taken a sad turn with shooting stalled for three days. One of the contestants has allegedly gone into a verbal spat with Mallika over some difference of opinion. And it is learnt that during the verbal duel he cast aspersions on her, and it left Mallika in tears.

This has happened even as the special celebrity guest Mahesh Bhatt was present there watching the event. It is learnt that apparently Mallika in tears had left the shoot. Sources close to her said that she was so upset and declined to shoot.

Even after cast and crew convincing her she refused to continue shooting and has stalled the shooting for three days. This 'The Bachelorette India? Mere Khaylaon Ki Mallika' is a spinoff of American dating reality show. But after this episode one would wonder do such things mix with our culture.

Singer Manna Dey no more

India's legendary playback singer Manna Dey passed away early Thursday after a prolonged illness at a private hospital here. He was 94.

"Mannada breathed his last around 4 a.m. after his condition suddenly deteriorated in the wee hours though he was on a ventilator in the intensive care unit," Narayana Hospital spokesman K.S.Vasuki told here.

The multi-lingual singer, who has been ailing for four months, leaves behind two daughters Rama and Sumita.

"Dey's eldest daughter (Rama) rushed to the hospital and was at his bedside when the end came after we alerted her about her father's deteriorating condition," Vasuki said.

According to Dey's family sources, Sumita lives in the US.

Dey's wife Sulochana Kumaran passed away here in January 2012 due to cancer.

Dey was admitted to the super specialty hospital in early July after he complained of complained of lung infection and was undergoing treatment for respiratory disease.

"Dey's body will be kept at Ravindra Kalkshetra in the city centre from 10am to 12noon for the public to pay their last respects and homage," a family friend said.

The family plans to perform Dey's last rites at Hebbal crematorium in northwest of the city by Thursday evening.

News of Dey's passing away shocked thousands of his fans, especially the music industry and the million-strong Bengali community in this tech hub.

Dey was in the same hospital for about 20 days in May a week after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee honoured him May 1 with Bengal's Vishesh Maha Sangeet Samman award in recognition of his yeomen service to the world of music and the film industry for over seven decades.

Mannada, whose original name was Prabodh Chandra Dey, has to his credit over a record 3,500 songs in an illustrious career spanning seven decades since 1943. His oeuvre boasts of a range of song from romantic numbers to classical to fun songs.

Dey was also honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the country's highest award in the film world, in 2007.

He was also recipient of several awards, including Padma Shri and Padma Bhusan.

Normally Prince Mahesh Babu keep himself secluded and stay away from functions and audio launches. However according to the latest information he is all set to delight his brother in law Sudhir Babu's Aadu Magaadu Raa Bujji film unit by attending the audio launch.

Mahesh is unable to escape from Sudhir Babu's audio functions since he happen to be his brother in law. Already filmmakers are saying the audio launch function will be graced by Prince Mahesh Babu. Audio will be launched in Hyd on 30th Oct. Asmita Sood, Poonam Kaur are starring in the film directed by Gangadasu Krishna Reddy.
